Who’s Your Date? Homecoming Proposals

Lauren Seale

The homecoming dance is a great event to help start off the year for high schoolers! It is a night of fun and dancing with so many great friends! This year’s theme is “Western Lights.” It is sure to be a wonderful time for all of our participating students!

Here is a list of some of the high school students who asked someone (or got asked) to this annual upperclassmen treat!

Vivian Rogers and Elias Moore

As Vivian was going into her Chemistry class one day, Elias caught her and gave her a chocolate Cookout milkshake. She found the question, “Shake it with me at Homecoming?” written on the cup, to which she answered “Of course!”

Abigail Newcomb and Finley Bissett

Finley really put some sparkle in Abigail’s night with his especially adorable “light show” of a homecoming proposal!

Gabbi Stewart and Tanner Jernigan

Tanner really hit this softball themed homecoming out of the park! (“How about swinging at hoco with me?”)

Haley McCall and Marcus Lerro

What girl can say no to food? Marcus secured his date with Haley using a box of donuts!

Barrett Eidson and Garrett Janke

Barrett surprised Garrett (who attends school at RMHS) with a homecoming proposal! (As if the picture doesn’t say it enough, he said yes!)

Isabel Smith and Corbett Cobb

A cookie cake is a quick way to get a girl to say yes to a homecoming proposal, as Corbett learned when asking Isabel!

Lillie Daughtridge and Bailey Beddingfield

Bailey wins the prize for the most tedious homecoming proposal! He used sticky notes to cover the back of Lillie’s car, and a poster to help seal the deal!

Caroline Gay and Jacob Watkins

Jacob touched on the knowledge of Caroline’s love of hunting in his poster asking her to be his date!

Malone Bondy and Sam Mills

Malone asked long-time friend Sam Mills (who attends FCS) to our homecoming after one of their football games!

Madison Glover and Zach Warrick

Madison used these cupcakes to ask Zach Warrick (who attends FCS) to be her date!

Anna Penwell and Joe Cockrell

Joe Cockrell used his “punny” personality to ask Anna to homecoming by holding up a cut-out letter “C” and saying “Will you be Ariel and I’ll be Eric, and we can go under the ‘C’ together at Homecoming?” How could Anna say no to such a great Disney reference!

Ann Margaret Taylor and Trey Smelcer

Trey brought Ann Margaret a Sonic slush one day before cheer practice, and she noticed a sneaky message on the side of the cup!

Lauren Seale and Thomas Griffin

Thomas surprised me in the parking lot one morning with a Hamilton themed sign! He sure didn’t throw away his shot with this homecoming proposal!
