Every new season brings with it a variety of new television shows.  With premieres of brand new episodes as well as the return of a few mid-season hits, everyone young and old has a new television addiction lined up for this winter. Here are the TV debuts that Media Office found to be most noteworthy.

Shameless: Shameless is a comedy-drama that takes place in a Chicago neighborhood. The show follows Frank Gallagher and his six kids as they learn to take care of themselves and compensate for their alcoholic father. The show started in 2009 and began its fifth season this January. The show airs on Sunday nights at 9pm on Showtime.

The Celebrity Apprentice: Celebrity Apprentice is an American reality game show series. It is a spin-off of The Apprentice series which is hosted by real estate magnate, businessman and television personality Donald Trump. Celebrity Apprentice consists of famous participants as the competing apprentices as opposed to previously unknown contestants. Some of the celebrities are relatively current, while others tend to be those who have been out of the public eye for some time. All of them are competing to win money for a charitable organization of their choice. The seventh season began on January 4th on NBC.

The Bachelor: The Bachelor revolves around a single, charismatic male who starts with a pool of romantic interests from whom he is expected to select a wife. During the course of the season, the bachelor eliminates candidates, proposing marriage to his final selection. The participants travel to romantic and exotic locations for their adventures, and the conflicts in the series, both internal and external, stem from the elimination-style format of the show. The show returned for its nineteenth season January 5th on ABC.

Allegiance: Allegiance is a thriller that follows the O’Connor family and their son Alex. Alex is a CIA analyst who is unaware that his parents and sister are part of a dormant Russian sleeper cell that has just been reactivated. The SVR has enlisted the family as they plan a terrorist attack inside U.S. borders. The show premieres February 5th at 10pm on NBC.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert: Late Show with Stephen Colbert is an upcoming American late-night talk show hosted by Stephen Colbert on CBS. It will be the second iteration of the Late Show franchise, following the retirement of current Late Show host David Letterman. Colbert had previously hosted the hit satirical and political Colbert Report, another late night series on Comedy Central.  Late Show with Stephen Colbert is scheduled to premiere on September 8, 2015 on CBS.
