Carissa Spruill, Arts and Entertainment Writer

What is your position? I’m the Arts and Entertainment writer

What are you looking forward to this year? Enjoying every last moment of my final year of high school while I can.

What is your favorite part about Media Office? Writing about the arts and entertainment events, which are something I’m very passionate about.

How many years have you been at RMA? 5 (I came to RMA in 7th grade)

“Get to know you” questions:

  1. Who is your role model? My dad, because he’s intelligent, witty, and musically talented. I strive to be like him.
  2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? Somewhere in the mountains. I love the nature, especially the fall leaves.
  3. If you had to watch one movie for the rest of your life, what would it be? Dead Poets Society. It’s a major comfort movie of mine.
  4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Working for a job I enjoy, having pet ducks, and being happy.
  5. Favorite class at RMA? I can’t decide on one favorite because there are different things I like about each of them. I found AP Chemistry really interesting, but I also enjoy French because it gives me the ability to learn another language. This year my favorite is AP Biology.
  6. What is your favorite quote? One of my bandmates, Paul Shackelford, once said “If you’re gonna mess up, make it loud.”
  7. What is something most people don’t know about you I really enjoy writing poems.
  8. If you could grow up in any decade, which would it be? The 70s, because all of my favorite bands are from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, and if I grew up then I’d get to watch all of them.
  9. If you could have any job in the world, what would it be? If I could practically play in a band for a living, that would be awesome.
  10. If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring? Food, a change of clothes, and my record collection.
