Tarboro native Joseph Petruzziello has become an essential member of the 2018 class with his witty remarks and kind smile. He has been a member of the RMA family since elementary school, and he has become a true Eagle! Along with sharing laughs with friends and making memories, Joseph has pushed himself to success in athletics, academics, and community. As for sports, Joseph is known for giving everything he’s got. He has participated on the swim team, tennis team, and football team in his high school career. His determination on the field led him to earning a captain’s spot on the football team! Not only does Joseph excel in athleticism, he also takes a rigorous set of classes. Joseph has challenged himself by taking AP Calculus, AP Bio, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Physics, and AP Environmental. He also takes part in the school’s drama program! Talk about a full plate! This desire for greatness in academics has earned Joseph a spot in the National Honors Society. The community also benefits from Joseph’s greatness! He has earned community service hours through volunteering at an orphanage in Costa Rica, the hospital in Tarboro, and Meals on Wheels! During his free time, Joseph works at TBC West at the Mills in Downtown Rocky Mount and plays the drums. Joseph is a truly well-rounded young man, and he exemplifies the core values of RMA. We cannot wait to see where Joseph’s bright future leads to!

  2. What is your favorite RMA memory? Playing football
  3. Where are you applying to college? Virginia Tech, NC State, ECU, WCU
  4. What has been your favorite class at RMA and why? AP Physics. It teaches you about the world.
  5. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be? Not in Rocky Mount.
  6. What is the best advice you have ever received? Never get complacent.
  7. If you could only watch the same three movies for the rest of your life, which movies would you choose? I don’t watch movies.
  8. What is your favorite school tradition? Long lunch
  9. What is your dream job? Electrical Engineer
  10. Give your best piece of advice to the underclassmen reading this. High school gets easier, just try your butt off in 11th grade. And don’t get suspended!
