Senior Pictures at Rose Hill

One of the most anticipated events on the agenda for the senior students, professional pictures at Rose Hill Plantation, took place last Thursday, October 16th. This is a tradition that all of the seniors look forward too. Each year, photographer Bill Goode takes the seniors around Rose Hill capturing many different and unique poses all over the farm.

This year, students arrived at Rose Hill at 8:00 in the morning. They were allowed to bring several different outfit choices to change into after each pose.  Mr. Goode first led the students to the porch of the main white house at Rose Hill. From there, they ventured on to take pictures by fence posts, under the trestle garden, and various other locations as well. By the end of the day, each student was photographed at six different locals around the farm.

Along with the individual pictures, Mr. Goode photographed impromptu group shots of the students. This definitely seemed to be a class favorite, as students were able to get many candid pictures with all of their friends. Mr. Goode also passed around a smaller camera for the seniors to take their own pictures and videos with their classmates. “It was so much fun passing around the camera all day taking and posing for pictures and videos,” said senior Deanna Mayo. Also, a traditional group picture of the entire senior class was taken on the steps by the pool. This was followed by GoPro pictures and videos that were widely popular amongst the seniors.

Senior Ann Claire Roberson said, “It is so hard to believe we are already taking our senior pictures.” The year has already started to fly by for this senior class, and picture day at Rose Hill was a great day for them all to be together. Be sure to check out Mr. Goode’s Facebook page, and look for a slideshow he put together of candid pictures and videos taken throughout the day.
