Christmas is almost here, but does it really feel like Christmas? In order to get into the Christmas spirit, many people watch Christmas movies, decorate the Christmas tree, and listen to Christmas music. All of these activities will make you more jolly, but the best way to get into the holiday spirit is by looking at all the Christmas lights and light displays surrounding you. To bring you more cheer and make it the most wonderful time of the year, there is a list below with five of the suggested light displays near you:

  • Hill Ridge Farms’ Festival of Lights

703 Tarboro Rd., Youngsville, North Carolina

Admissions: $20 per vehicle 

Dates: Nov. 26-Dec. 27 (times may vary)

 

Details/Description- A place where you can immerse yourself in the magical lights on over a mile-long trail throughout the farm from the comfort of your vehicle.

  • Holiday Lights in the Garden at Cape Fear Botanical Garden

536 N. Eastern Blvd., Fayetteville, North Carolina

Admissions: Non-member adult: $12 and non-member child: $7; member adult: $8 and member child $5.

Dates: Dec. 3- Dec. 23 (times may vary)

 

Details/Description- The Garden is aglow with almost one million lights. There will be Santa Claus, S’mores, and hot cocoa along with children’s activities and family hayrides.

  • Lights on the Neuse at Boyette Family Farms

1620 Loop Rd, Clayton, North Carolina

Admissions: $10 for ages 3 and older; free for ages 2 and younger.

Dates: Select nights Nov. 27- Dec. 24. (times may vary)

 

Details/Description- Take a 1-mile, 30-minute tractor-pulled hayride through a beautiful lights extravaganza to see more than one million lights that line the way to the banks of the Neuse River. Enjoy concessions, a socially distanced visit with Santa, and more.

  • Lake Myra Christmas Lights 

10 S Cypress St, Wendell, North Carolina

Admissions: Free 

Dates: Nov. 25- Dec. 31 (times may vary)

 

Details/Description- Lake Myra is one of the best light displays in North Carolina. Visitors get to park and watch the stunningly choreographed light show while listening to all of their favorite holiday tunes. 

  • Fieldstream Farm and Christmas Lights

8008 Old Stage Rd, Raleigh, North Carolina
