This past Friday, October 25, was an eventful day at RMA that was packed full of fun. From the pep rally to the football game, the day was a non-stop rush of excitement!

That afternoon was the pep rally hosted by the RMA cheerleaders. The lower school cheerleaders opened the pep rally with two cheers. They were followed by the varsity cheer squad performing a mashup of some of their cheers, as well as debuting a stunt they have been working on to get ready for the pep rally. Matching the theme of the homecoming dance “Space Cowboys,” there was a Git Up dance competition, which was a crowd favorite! The pep rally is also where they crown the homecoming king for the year, then at the football game the homecoming queen is crowned. This year’s homecoming court was the following:

9th- Elle Bartolomeo, Wells Hutson, Olivia Naud, Gabe Winham

10th- Lorna Edison, Thomas Paxton, Chandler Lamm, Christian Sawyer

11th- Lisa Dudley, Ellis Daughtridge, Emory Pittman, Chris May

12th- Abigail Newcomb, Finley Bissett, Deborah Kitchin, Caleb Chesis, Megan Seale,

Foster McAdams

This year’s homecoming king and queen were Foster McAdams and Abigail Newcomb!

Before kick off for the football game, the senior football players and senior cheerleaders were announced and escorted onto the field for Senior Night. Senior football players include Caleb Chesis, Jackson Bryant, Daniel Cooper, Ben Corey, and Oliver Bissett. The senior cheerleaders are Megan Seale, Abigail Newcomb, and Peyton Hutson. The football game against Parrott Academy resulted in a victory for APA, but our Eagles football team played so well for their last game of the season!

Although the game did not end with what the team had hoped for, spirit week, homecoming, senior night, and the other festivities of the week were a huge success! The week concluded with a Space Cowboy themed homecoming dance for upper school students. The dance had a great turnout and was fun for everyone!
