Senior Spotlight: Josh Rich

Haven Ross, Social Media Chair

Josh Rich has been a constant in the lives of the students of the senior class since day one. Throughout lower school, Josh was always there to make people laugh, talk about the Duke basketball team’s latest win, or show up the competition in PE. Nowadays, while Josh has matured into a respectable young man, he still is a source of humor for the class. He holds a clever wit that is so special, using jokes in all the right times. He has become a composed and wise member of the senior class, and he holds respectable qualities that all people should strive to have.

Josh has taken on a rigorous course load in high school. He takes a variety of classes from World Religions to Marine Biology. He challenges himself by taking AP Psychology, AP Biology, and Honors Pre-Calculus. His favorite class is English with one of RMA’s most phenomenal teachers, Dr. O’Brien. In her words, “Josh sets his own high standards and strives to meet them. An independent thinker and accomplished writer, he likes to explore his ideas in great detail. He has a great sense of humor, and I always enjoy hearing what he has to say!”

Josh’s dedication and hard work is also seen on the links! His favorite hobby is also his favorite sport; Josh loves golf and even got an All-Conference recognition. He is an upstanding athlete and student.

When Josh isn’t working in the classroom, he has great work and hobbies to keep himself busy! He has a close relationship with his father. Once, his dad came to our class and discussed forestry, and he even showed us how to measure the age of trees. Josh knew so much about his father’s job at a young age, so it is no surprise that he spends his summers and break from school working with him. He also does charity work; Josh does service activities through his church and helps with High Clean Up and Meals on Wheels. He supports his classmates who play on the varsity basketball teams and can often be found cheering them on from the balcony. Josh is a well-rounded member of the community and of our school!

Teachers and classmates have watched Josh Rich grow so much throughout his time at RMA. He hopes to attend college and obtain a degree in business or finance. He hopes to work hard enough to get a job on Wall Street one day as a financial analyst. The RMA family wishes Josh the best of luck as he spread his wings and soars!
