Somehow, we have made it this far. I remember being tiny and thinking about how “2019 is so far away! It will take ages to get there!” I was so very wrong in thinking that. A new year has stumbled upon us (yet again), and everyone is taking this as an opportunity to improve their lives in some manner. For those that I’ve talked to, they have set goals for themselves like eating healthier, being more creative, or even traveling to a certain destination that they have had their heart set on for years on end. Whatever goal it may be, I hope they reach it.

I have decided for my article this week not to go around and ask students and faculty what they hope to accomplish with their resolutions, but instead, ask a question more about who they are and who they hope to be. No numbers or labels, but instead a question.

“When you look back on 2019, how do you hope to describe it in a few words?”

I went around school after we got back from our break and asked a couple of teachers and some high school students what they hope to describe 2019 as in the end. Scroll below to see what members of RMA want their 2019 to be!
