Elias Moore

Chances are, if you’ve seen a blue minivan speeding through the parking lot, then you’ve seen Cameron. He first came to Rocky Mount Academy in 6th grade with his friend Davis Collins. Since their first day, the two friends integrated themselves quickly and got to know everyone. Cameron can always be found making a joke or a witty comment that gets the whole class laughing. His contagious personality is able to bring comedy into any situation.

As the physical embodiment of procrastination, Cameron is always able to finish and project on time, no matter how late he starts it. This skill has come with the amazing frustration of teachers. Nevertheless, he has a few AP classes already under his belt, including AP Psychology, Ap European History, and AP American History. Though he says he doesn’t study, those who know Cameron realize he tries hard in all of his classes.

Cameron’s redeeming qualities have presented themselves in various ways since he became a member of the Rocky Mount Academy family. He has joined the school band and became a key member on guitar. In fact, Cameron’s skills are superior to many other band members, including myself, as he practices frequently. The school band is, however, not the only extracurricular activity that Cameron participates in. He is a four-year member of Science Olympiad, attending the competition each year. He is also a vital member of the tennis team, now playing as 4th seed in competitive matches. For his senior year, Cameron also joined the varsity football team, helping them on their way to an undefeated season and the 8-man championship title.
