This week, we are proud to feature a truly exceptional RMA student, McKenna Rogers—an Eagle who exemplifies leadership, dedication, and heart in everything she does. Since joining us in eighth grade, McKenna has been an outgoing, supportive classmate and teammate who balances rigorous coursework with athletics and extensive extracurricular involvement, including community service.
McKenna has continually increased the rigor of her academic schedule throughout high school. After taking Honors classes as a freshman and sophomore, she challenged herself further by enrolling in AP courses beginning her junior year. Her first AP class, AP Biology, sparked her interest in taking advanced courses. Now a senior, McKenna is enrolled in AP English, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, Calculus Honors, and French IV Honors—an impressive schedule that reflects both ambition and academic strength.

A dedicated student-athlete, McKenna has contributed to numerous state championships and earned many accolades across three sports: volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She has played volleyball for five years at RMA, earning distinctions such as Most Valuable Player, CIC Player of the Year, All-State Honors, and CIC Tournament MVP as a junior. Just this week, she was named 2025 NCISAA 2A All-State and CPIC 2A Player of the Year. Her success continues on the basketball court, where she has earned All-Tournament honors in both her sophomore and junior years, All-Conference honors those same years, and was part of a State Championship team as a junior. In addition, McKenna has devoted two years to soccer, earning the Coach’s Award both seasons and helping secure a State Championship last spring when the Eagles defeated Caldwell Academy 3–1. Even with an already outstanding athletic career, McKenna hopes to earn more achievements during her senior season—and she continues to approach each sport with her determination.
Beyond academics and athletics, McKenna remains active in campus life. She is involved in Stronger Together, supporting RMA’s Exceptional Eagles and promoting inclusion; the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where she strengthens her faith in connection with athletics; and Key Club, where she serves as secretary, maintaining records and helping guide service-oriented projects.

McKenna has applied to North Carolina State University, UNC–Wilmington, the University of Tennessee, the University of South Carolina, ECU, and Auburn University, with plans to major in psychology. She aspires to become an occupational therapist specializing in pediatrics—a goal perfectly suited to her driven nature.
McKenna is clearly someone who gives her all to everything she undertakes, and we are confident she will continue to accomplish great things wherever her path leads.
