Ripple Effects Christmas Project

Mary Hanna Bryant, Treasurer

This year Rocky Mount Academy’s Global Studies Honors Program is partnering with the organization Ripple Effects for a schoolwide Christmas project. We are excited to take part in this project, and hope as many people as possible will help participate! In efforts to help local families in need, please consider donating the following:

  • New blankets
  • New adult socks
  • Hygiene Items: toilet paper, paper towels, toothbrushes, lotion, shaving items, soap, diapers, or Dollar Tree gift cards.

These items will be collected in Bradley Hall until December 16th! Also, Thursday, December 16th, the money collected at the gate for the basketball games will be donated to Ripple Effects as well.

More on Ripple Effects:

Established in 2016, Ripple Effects is a local group that provides support and guidance for individuals in Nash and Edgecombe Counties. Designed to address holistic wellness, this group offers various resources such as counseling, life skills workshops, case management, and other services. This cooperation serves as a place for individuals seeking accountability, guidance, and resources.

This organization also takes part in food delivery to help people during transitional stages, crisis, and difficulty in discovering their purpose. Over the past four years, over 1500 people have received services, meals, and support through the organization.

Ripple Effects also has what is known as the Bridge, which is a housing program that helps transition individuals and families from homelessness and unstable environments into a life where they find their purpose and can become independent. The Bridge focuses on giving an individual the resources they need in order to reach their highest potential.

Stay involved in Ripple Effect’s projects by visiting their page to find what items you can help supply for their wish list, by giving financial donations, or by volunteering to work with the organization firsthand.
