Halloween Chex Mix Recipe

Mary Hanna Bryant, Treasurer

One of my favorite holiday treats is White Chocolate Halloween Chex Mix. For as long as I can remember, my mom and I have spent the holidays choosing a new treat to make for our family. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for kids to help out with, requires only a few ingredients, and only takes a few minutes!

Ingredients:

  •  Pretzels (original or sticks)
  • Honey Nut Cheerios
  • Corn Chex (or Honey Nut Chex)
  • Peanuts
  • Halloween colored M&M’s
  • Candy Corn
  • White Chocolate Chips
  • Vegetable Oil

How to make:

  •  In a very large bowl (or two medium bowls), combine the first 6 ingredients: pretzels, Cheerios, Corn Chex, peanuts, M&M’s, and candy corn.
  • Set the dry ingredients aside.
  •  In a microwave-safe bowl, heat white chocolate chips and oil for 60 seconds.
  • Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Pour melted chocolate over the mixture and stir until all the mix is evenly covered with white chocolate.
  • Spread mix onto two large baking sheets lined with wax paper.
  • Let cool and then break apart into chunks.

This is comprised of everything I love, so feel free to make this mix your own by taking items or adding more. This desert stays good for quite a while, so a good idea would be to make this and give it as a gift!
