Top 10 Must Watch Summer Movies

This summer, going to the movies was a great way to spend a rainy day, or to hang out with friends. Whether or not it is a $5 movie night, or just sitting in front of your TV at home, movies allow moments of relaxation and getting lost in the screen without thinking about reality. Some must watch summer movies are:  


Black Widow

Scarlett Johansson’s character “Natasha” navigates dangerous obstacles as she works to overcome the leader of the evil group the “Red Room.” Along the way, unexpected reunions break up the action throughout the movie. Natasha turns to her past as a spy and fights to free the widows that are being controlled by the leader of the “Red Room.” 


A Quiet Place II

The Abbott family struggles to survive in silence as they are being hunted by creatures that prey on sounds. The quest for discovering survivors motivates the family to navigate their way through difficult situations. They must stop the creatures and save the human race without making a sound.


The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Ed and Lorainne Warren have been asked to investigate a case where a man killed his family and claims he has been possessed by the devil after he is caught by a cop. The paranormal investigators must decipher what is happening without them being possessed by the demon at the same time. 


In the Heights

In Washington Heights, New York, a neighborhood has reached a turning point as we encounter and follow different locals throughout the movie. Some of the locals are trying to put a down payment on her first apartment, trying to go back to the Dominican Republic to continue his father’s business, or pay their Ivy-League tuition.  


Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway

Peter’s troublesome behavior entices him to venture outside the garden where he discovers a world where mischief is normal. Unfortunately, Peter has to reflect on who he wants to be after he puts his family at risk for looking for him.  


Boss Baby: Family Business

Tim and his brother Tim, now adults, come together as they accidentally end up babies for 48 hours. An evil villain attempts to turn people into babies, and it is Ted Tim, and Tim’s secret-agent daughter to stop him.


Jungle Cruise

Dr. Lily Houghton is in search of an ancient tree that will change the course of medicine forever. Along the way, she recruits Frank Wolff to join her in her quest. They must navigate the Amazon river while enemies are trailing behind them.


Free Guy

The news that he is actually participating in a video game stuns a bank teller, but he decides to take advantage and become the hero of the game. Before the game time runs out, Guy is determined to save the day and he sparks interest with the person who coded him.  


Space Jam

After being trapped by this alternate dimension, Lebron James joins forces with different teams in order to play a game of basketball against their rivals, The Goon Squad.  



In the live-action Disney movie Cruella, Estella’s determination to make it in the fashion world leads to her friendship with thieves who appreciate her troublesome behavior. She navigates the streets with her friends, while attempting to stay hidden but also have a reputation in the fashion industry.
