The Senior Class as Disney Characters
December 16, 2020
The Media Office this week used their collective brain power to decide which Disney character each senior most closely embodies. We chose each character based on their personality only. Now we invite you to relax and pull up a chair as the Media Office proudly presents… the senior class as Disney characters!
Abigail Adcock as Jessie from Toy Story
If you know Abigail, then you would know how extremely loyal she is and how fun she is just the way Jessie is in the Toy Story movies. Jessie is depicted as being energetic, outgoing, and free-spirited, which makes her the perfect choice for Abigail.
Gillian Bauer as Mushu from Mulan
Gillian resembles Mushu very much personality wise! In the movie, Mushu is good-hearted, loyal, creative, and caring. That is very much Gillian–especially creative–since her talents shine through her artistic abilities.
Ayden Bilicki as Baloo from The Jungle Book
Baloo is a big bear with a big heart. The first person to come to mind with this description is Ayden (except the bear part obviously)! Just like Baloo, Ayden is fun-loving, gentle natured, and laidback.
Lilly Boone as Elsa from Frozen
Now for Lilly, there was only one Disney character that she could possibly be–Elsa. Elsa is depicted as being caring, elegant, fierce, powerful, reserved, and patient. If any person was given those traits and told to name someone from the senior class that coincides with them, without a doubt everyone would say Lilly Boone.
Bayden Collins as Baymax from Big Hero 6
By design, Baymax is selfless, caring, and extremely devoted to the people in his life. Bayden and Baymax would do anything for the people they care about, while being respectful. Let me tell you, Bayden is the embodiment of Baymax.
Mary-Edith Cox as Megara from Hercules
Just as Megara displays this in the movie, Mary-Edith exemplifies her independence, quick-wit, and drive to make her own path, but what makes her just like Megara is her sassiness and the way she carries herself with confidence in her day to day life. They are also extremely similar because, in true Megara spirit, Mary-Edith would willingly do anything to protect someone she loves–and that’s the gospel truth!
Ellis Daughtridge as Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire
Now this decision might be one exception to the “we chose these characters on personality alone” because Ellis and Milo are each other’s dopplegangers. Not only are they similar in appearance, their personalities are also identical. Both of them are loyal, smart, upright, and dedicated. Ellis’s unwavering loyalty attracts others into his life.
Matthew Davis as Hades from Hercules
Hades is known for being the antagonist of the movie, which does not match Matthew’s personality at all. However, Hades is perceived as being personable, fierce, and self-assured, which causes people to misunderstand him, much like Matthew. Now all he needs are two younger best friends to be his “Pain” and “Panic.”
Lisa Renee Dudley as Jasmine from Aladdin
Jasmine is one of Disney’s most inspiring and iconic characters ever. Much like this princess, Lisa is also an inspiration to all underclassmen at RMA. Lisa is also just like Jasmine because she is willing to be herself, step out of her comfort zone, and take a risk for someone she loves.
Henry Forrester as Dash from The Incredibles
Around the school, Henry is known for his incredible cross country ability–honestly, just his running skills in general. What better character to give Henry then Dash from The Incredibles? Both are extremely fast runners, although Dash’s abilities are because he has powers, while Henry is just gifted. Their personalities are also very similar since they both are highly competitive!
Madie Jenkins as Anna from Frozen
Anna is fun-loving, determined, loyal, and loving; each of these characteristics encompass Madie. Madie, just like Anna, loves her family and friends and is willing to help out in any way that she can. Both of them are determined to make the world a better place by using their kindness and positivity in every situation that they come across.
Mason Kolesar as Doc from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs
Ah, Mason. He is truly just like Doc–kind-hearted, comforting, authoritative, and kind. Those who truly know Mason can agree with me on this one. His kindness is contagious, as well as his ability to take charge whenever he has to.
Chris May as Nick Wilde from Zootopia
Slick, charismatic, social, and easygoing are all personality traits that are similar between Chris and Nick Wilde. Both are known for their positive aura by embracing their strongest traits, which make them become extremely confident. They know what they want and use their charisma to obtain it.
Jamya McKnight as Crush from Finding Nemo
It’s no secret that everyone loves Jamya. Just like Crush, Jamya is always willing to help out a friend in need or offer a little joke to make you crack a smile! Her warm personality and laid back nature are what makes her the human embodiment of everyone’s favorite current riding turtle.
Polly Medlin as Olaf from Frozen
Every morning, Polly walks into homeroom and gives all her close friends a hug. Obviously, we had to give her Olaf as her Disney character. She is outgoing, kind-hearted, affectionate, compassionate, and selfless, which makes it so easy to love Polly, the same way it was easy to love Olaf in the movie.
Will Moore as Winnie the Pooh from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
“No special reason. Today, let’s just choose to be happy.” This Pooh quote has got to be Will Moore’s mantra. His happiness and love of life are contagious to all, which makes Pooh the perfect character for him. They’re both friendly, thoughtful, and willing to do anything for their friends. Since he possesses these qualities, Will is the best type of friend anyone could have!
Hunter Nealey as Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast
In the movie, Cogsworth is the most powerful figure in the castle, much like Hunter no matter where he is. Just like Cogsworth, Hunter is talkative, intelligent, loyal, and kind-hearted. Although he seems to have a tough exterior, they’re both sweethearts and only want what’s best for those important to them.
Virginia Grey Newton as Moana from Moana
Fun fact: did you know that one of Virginia Grey’s loves in life is sailing? Obviously, her Disney character had to be Moana. Both of them are sea-loving, strong-willed, headstrong, and have great pride in who they are. Virginia Grey and Moana are both unapologetically themselves, which makes it so easily to love them.
Zoey Outlaw as Tinkerbell from Peter Pan
For Zoey’s character, we had so many ideas pop into our heads, but we knew we needed to choose someone that fit her personality perfectly. Then bam, we knew instantly who it should be. With both of them having a cute appearance, they’re also both sassy and hard working. Zoey is extremely devoted and loyal to those who she loves, and would do absolutely anything for the people she cares about. If you know her, then she is just like Tinkerbell!
Austin Overton as Roger Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Talkative, energetic, and friendly is what Austin and Roger Rabbit have in common! Austin’s always found joking with his friends and making each day the best it could ever be, which makes Austin just as fun as Roger.
Zach Perry as Scuttle from The Little Mermaid
Although Zach can’t fly, his personality is just like Scuttle. Once you get to know him, Zach is funny, caring, and friendly, which is just the reason why we chose Scuttle as his Disney character. He’s also always there to help his closest friends no matter what.
Porter Petruzziello as Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast
Intelligent, level-headed, and nurturing, Porter is the embodiment of Mrs. Potts. Once you meet Porter, she will automatically nurture you. Porter and Mrs. Potts both want to help out in any way that they can, so if you ever are in need of something, 90% of the time, Porter is sure to have it!
Charlotte Pittard as Rapunzel from Tangled
Charlotte and Rapunzel are practically the same person. Not only can Charlotte sing just as pretty as Rapunzel, but her personality is just like Rapunzel’s. Charlotte, just like Rapunzel, is spirited, smart, kind, adventurous, and extremely goal driven. Also, she is not afraid to stand up for herself or others when the situation calls for bravery!
Emory Pittman as Ariel from The Little Mermaid
If you ever hear an angelic voice coming from the drama room, it is Emory 99% of the time. We decided that this talented girl had to get Ariel, but not only for her vocal abilities. Just like Ariel, Emory is always listening to her heart, as well as being determined and fun-loving (and in the best way possible, she is stubborn, but it always ends with good results).
Jack Pittman as Simba from The Lion King
Hakuna Matata! Jack lives a carefree lifestyle much like young Simba, but he also has a sense of adventure. Jack and Simba are so similar to one another since they both are kind-hearted, dependable, and determined. These qualities make Jack such a good and reliable friend, just like Simba!
Skyler Proctor as Fix-It Felix from Wreck-It Ralph
Known as the ultimate good guy, Fix-It Felix is who you call if anything is broken. Just like Felix, Skyler is your guy if you’re in need of help! If you read one of our most recent senior spotlights, you’d know that Skyler is helpful, good-hearted, and kind, just like Felix!
Meghan Routhier as Aurora from Sleeping Beauty
Who else would we have chosen for Meghan? Meghan is known to be able to sleep ANYWHERE, and I mean literally anywhere. Much like Aurora, Meghan is laid-back, honest, loyal, and strong-willed. Let’s also add the fact of the resemblance she has to Aurora! Meghan is definitely the present day sleeping beauty.
Colby Silverthorne as Lightning McQueen from Cars
“Speed. I am speed.” Okay, the confidence is contagious and definitely a main reason why we chose this iconic character for Colby. He is so similar to Lightning McQueen personality wise since they both are good-natured, fun-loving, and goal driven!
Isaiah Smith as Stitch from Lilo and Stitch
If you ever go down the hall and hear random noises, it’s most likely Isaiah, which is one reason why we picked this character for him. He has a fun-loving personality, along with being selfless and loyal. Once you get past his somewhat tough exterior, Isaiah is so much like Stitch!
Nedaa Soufan as Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas
Nedaa is the human embodiment of Grandmother Willow. She has an extremely sensitive, caring, and loving personality which makes it so easy to be friends with her. Nedaa, just like Grandmother Willow, will also be there to help out any of her very close friends, as well as offer extremely good life advice to them!
Sarah Stancavish as Merida from Brave
Headstrong, quick-witted, selfless, and caring are some of the similarities Merida and Sarah have to one another. They both strive to live their own life and follow their own path! Sarah would do anything to save or help those she cares about, which is again another reason why these two are very similar. Her love of her family, friends, and doing her own thing are some of the best aspects about her!
Gracie Tharin as Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Ah, if you know Gracie, then it is obvious that she and Belle are practically the same person. They both have a love of reading and adventure, while also maintaining an introverted personality. However, once you get past Gracie’s exterior, then you will get to know one of the sweetest, most clever, most spirited, and most mature girls you will ever meet!
Graham Turnage as Flynn Rider from Tangled
“How ya doin’? The name’s Flynn Rider.” Graham, just like Flynn Rider, is known for his quick-wit and charm. Flynn is depicted as caring, devoted, loyal, and charming, which is exactly the reason why we chose Flynn for Graham’s Disney character. He would also do anything for the people he cares about, making him even more like Flynn.
Will Varnell as Mater from Cars
Will V. is definitely the senior class’s main truck boy, so who better to be his Disney character then Mater? Both Mater and Will are the stereotypical respectful country boy: good-natured, kind, honest, and gentlemanly. They both have an unconditional love for those closest to them, which makes it so easy to be friends with Will.
Megan Walden as Tigger from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Upbeat, fun-loving, energetic, friendly, and loyal are just a few words that come to mind when thinking of Tigger. Just like Tigger, Megan is always looking to brighten someone’s day or make life a little happier with her happy-go-lucky personality. Her sense of humor and positive outlook on life are sure to bring a little sunshine into anyone’s day!
Leo Wang as Ferb from Phineas and Ferb
Although Leo is a man of few words, his actions do speak quite loudly. Just like how Ferb is always looking to have fun and do things with his closest friends, Leo is doing just the same! Because of his quiet nature, whenever he does decide to speak his mind, you won’t miss it. Leo has a unique sense of humor that can send a whole class into a fit!
James Whitehurst as Fillmore from Cars
If you know James, then you would know just how similar he is to this laid-back van. Fillmore is portrayed as being calm, cool, and collected, which is very much like James. They are also both very easy-going, which makes James such a good friend to have.
Elizabeth Winstead as Tiana from The Princess and the Frog
“She’s a strong woman who doesn’t need anyone to do things for her. She wants to do things for herself.” That quote could practically be about Elizabeth, but instead it is about the character we decided to give her. Just like Tiana, Elizabeth is intelligent, hard-working, ambitious, strong-willed, and patient. Both Tiana and Elizabeth’s work ethic is inspiring, and a way of life everyone should live by!
Mrs. Andracchio as The Fairy Godmother from Cinderella
She’s making the seniors’ college dreams come true. Is there any better reason for why she’s the fairy godmother? She is also very motherly and patient, just like her Disney character!
Mr. Tucker as Walt Disney
Now for Mr. Tucker: without him the seniors wouldn’t be able to function. He keeps us in check and is the reason we make it through the day. Similarly to Walt Disney, Mr. Tucker is honest, enthusiastic, optimistic, and possesses true leadership qualities. He is an inspiration to everyone at RMA.
