Strawberry Pie Recipe

December 1 is National Pie Day! In celebration, here’s a yummy recipe for a strawberry pie from my mom.



  • 1 quart of strawberries
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of cornstarch
  • Crust
  • Pie pan



  1. Clean and cut strawberries.
  2. Drain.
  3. Lay the crust of the pie in a pie pan.
  4. Cover the bottom crust with strawberries.
  5. Crush remaining berries and add water until you reach 1 ½ cups.
  6. Mix the sugar and cornstarch.
  7. Add the berry and water mixture to the sugar and cornstarch.
  8. Bring to a boil and cook over moderate heat until the mixture is thickened and clear.
  9. Cool slightly.
  10. Pour the mixture over the berry-lined crust.
  11. Cover with cool whip.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
