Strawberry Pie Recipe

December 1 is National Pie Day! In celebration, here’s a yummy recipe for a strawberry pie from my mom.
Ingredients:
- 1 quart of strawberries
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoons of cornstarch
- Crust
- Pie pan
Steps:
- Clean and cut strawberries.
- Drain.
- Lay the crust of the pie in a pie pan.
- Cover the bottom crust with strawberries.
- Crush remaining berries and add water until you reach 1 ½ cups.
- Mix the sugar and cornstarch.
- Add the berry and water mixture to the sugar and cornstarch.
- Bring to a boil and cook over moderate heat until the mixture is thickened and clear.
- Cool slightly.
- Pour the mixture over the berry-lined crust.
- Cover with cool whip.
- Serve and enjoy!
