What the Senior Class Will Miss…

Haven Ross, Social Media Chair

The last two months of school bring waves of excitement for most kids in school. It’s harder to pay attention in class when the sun is shining and temperatures are rising. Students stare into space while in class, thinking of the beach, the mountains, camp, or sleeping in. Teachers are ready for a break from these daydreamers who seem to not be able to pay attention. These feelings are not quite as widespread as you might have thought, however. The senior class experiences the same excitement about summer and graduation, but they are also presented with other feelings. Seniors realize that they won’t be returning with the rest of the student body. They won’t be coming back to the school they know and love so much. They won’t see the same students, teachers, lunch ladies, and janitors. The nostalgia of remembering years past, the nervousness about going to an unfamiliar place, and the sadness of leaving behind their fellow classmates makes for a confusing, excited mix of feelings. Here are just a few things the seniors will miss as they take the next big step into their futures.
