Field Day Recap

Field+Day+Recap

What a great way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Field Day was full of laughter and fun times for all those involved, including students, parents, and faculty. The morning was kicked off by a parade of students walking onto the soccer field with their buddies in designated colors. After the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance, the first competition began with every grade competing head-to-head in the Hula-Hoop Relay with their buddy grades. It was hard to tell who finished first, but I think it’s safe to say that everyone gave 100% and had a few laughs along the way as well. After the buddy events, the high school competed in various events culminating in a huge round tug-of-war, and I’m proud to say the Senior class pulled out a strong win. Once the high school finished their events, the lower school had fun competing in activities such as the spoon-and-egg race (or in this case a potato) and a bouncy ball relay. The middle school also enjoyed competing in Octoball and Capture the Flag on the softball field later in the morning. Overall, Field Day was definitely one of the highlights of the school year and was a great way of having fun with friends and buddies while also bringing out the more competitive side in many students.
