Haven Ross, Social Media Chair

Jacob Gutshall has been at RMA since the first grade, and he has proven that he is a true character ever since. He displays high remarks in his studies, athletics, and wit. Those who have gotten to know Jacob throughout the years know him for his blunt and carefree nature. He is not afraid to tell people how it is or to speak his mind. He can make a classroom full to the brim with laughter after just one funny comment. Jacob has played basketball with his friends in the courtyard whenever he gets the chance since middle school. He can beat anyone when it comes to sports trivia, especially baseball trivia. He once spent an entire Spanish class in ninth grade telling Mrs. Watkins about the smallest details of drafted MLB players. He is energetic, humorous, and as sharp as a tack, and he is an essential member of the senior class.

With his blunt nature and keen senses, Jacob knows what he wants and exactly how to get it. He is a standout in the classroom, taking classes that he knows will highlight his strengths. He works diligently in honors-level classes and holds a spot in the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. His hard work in the classroom also allowed him to serve as a Marshal at the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2018. Jacob’s tunnel vision for success continues on the field and the court. Jacob is a talented basketball player and has had a strong career in the sport throughout middle and upper school. He is an unstoppable force on the soccer field, and he earned a spot on the All-Conference team.

Jacob, a straightforward thinker, has a strong plan for college and employment. He hopes to attend UNC-Charlotte next fall for a major in Business Analytics. After getting his degree, he would like to work for a professional sports team. We wish Jacob the best of luck!
