For 5 years, Jacob Braddy has never failed to bring laughter and many smiles to the faces of RMA. As a skilled athlete and a diligent student, Jacob spends most of his time either in school or on the football or baseball field. Known as #17, Jacob has played a huge role on the varsity football team, helping his team throughout every single game on a typical Friday night. Last year, he helped bring home the big victory of winning the State Championship against Arendell Parrott Academy. Coach Terrell Hudgins says, “He brings a lot of life to the team. Whenever I am being very serious, Jacob Braddy always has one joke that lightens up the mood.” Football and baseball have always been Jacob’s passions; he has stuck with his skills over the years to become an accomplished athlete.

Not only does Jacob succeed on the field, but he also succeeds in the classroom. This year he takes a variety of classes, such as Marine Biology, AP Statistics, English 12, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, & Weight Lifting. With this rigorous yet fun schedule, Jacob shows his dedication to both working hard in school and enjoying his classes. He is known for making his entire class laugh uncontrollably. His ability to make others around him smile is truly unforgettable.

If you know Jacob personally, then you know that he loves nothing more than to spend his time outside, highlighting his love for the outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies include fishing and hunting. With this enthusiasm for the outdoors, Jacob also likes the idea of pursuing  agriculture, which runs in his family. He participated in the Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders, sponsored by the NC Farm Bureau. Jacob hopes to continue his interest in agriculture at NC State next year. We will miss his big smile and bubbly personality!
