Senior Spotlight: Logan Moss

This week’s senior spotlight features gamer and artist, Logan Moss. Ever since 6th grade, RMA has been a recipient of his diverse thinking and creative ways. Not only is Logan artistic, but he maintains high averages in his classes and is an expert at anything math related. During his Junior year, he was awarded Headmaster’s List, Highest Academic Average in Algebra II, Highest Academic Average in English II, Excellence in Art III, and Academic Excellence in Honors US History for his dedication to his studies.

Logan has a passion for technology and the arts and it is evident in his everyday life. During his 10th grade year, Logan worked as a volunteer in the Information Technology Management at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount. There, he built monitors and set up different nurses stations (computers and dollies). He also worked in the receptionist area and greeted and discharged people. He worked about 15 hours a week for over four weeks. One of Logan’s favorite things to do at school is go to art class with Mrs. Patton. Whether it is painting a fruit bowl with oils, shading hands with ebony pencils, or a self portrait with acrylic paint, Logan does it all. This year, Logan is one of the few students that are enrolled in the AP Art Drawing Portfolio class. For this class, Logan will complete 12 Breadth assignments of anything he chooses along with 12 Concentration projects. For his Concentration, Logan has chosen to focus on hands as his subject, as they are very complex and detailed.

In the future, Logan plans to attend North Carolina State University and graduate with a major in physics and a minor in mathematics. His ultimate goal is to become a math teacher.
