Senior Spotlight: Will Batchelor
February 8, 2016
This week’s senior spotlight features one of the senior classes’ best, Will Batchelor. Will, or more commonly known by his classmates as Wilbur, is an essential part of the RMA community both in and out of the classroom. Everyone recognizes Will by his contagious smile and ability to light up any room he enters by his great sense of humor. Will can always be counted on to make someone’s day special. Whether it is his class mates, one of the underclassmen at football practice, or even a lower schooler in P.E, he is continuously making RMA a brighter place. Will has also spread his good character and leadership to the football team for 6 years. He played a huge part in the recent success of team including back to back state championships his sophomore and junior years. This past season, Will served as a senior captain and was a very influential leader for his team and the J.V. team. Outside of school, Will is quite the outdoorsman. He spends much of his time hunting, fishing, and working outside. He has spent time volunteering around Nash and Halifax counties working with wildlife. Will is a true asset to the senior class and RMA will miss him greatly next year. Check out the interview below to get to know Will a little better.
