Faculty Focus: Mrs. Vanessa Smith

The center of this weeks’ Faculty Focus is the Head of Middle School, Mrs. Vanessa Smith. Mrs. Smith has been a member of the RMA community since 2008. She began as a 2nd grade teacher, teaching the current 9th grade class, then was promoted to the Head of Middle School in 2009. Before coming to RMA, Mrs. Smith worked in the Nash-Rocky Mount school system, working as a teacher, lead teacher, assistant principal, and principal. After 30 years in the public school system, she retired then came to RMA.

After a very successful career, Mrs. Smith recently announced she would be retiring on December 18th. Mrs. Smith has brought a great personality and sense of leadership that RMA will forever cherish. We would like to thank her for blessing us with her presence for the past 8 years, and we wish her best of luck on her future endeavors!
