Senior Spotlight: Gage Chilton

Olivia Turnage, Editor-in-chief

This week’s Senior Spotlight is none other than Gage Chilton. Everyone knows Gage from his friendly disposition and his 14 years at RMA, a lifer! Gage embodies all of RMA’s core values; character, service, and excellence in academics.

While every student at RMA knows how kind and welcoming a person he is, Gage’s football opponents would tell you otherwise. Coming in at 6’4, Gage is a force to behold on Friday nights in the fall. If not in the classroom, Gage could be found hitting the weight room preparing for the Friday night lights. His teammates describe him as a guy that “is sure to pump you up. The guy is always on his A game.” His spirit and talent were recognized last season when he was awarded All-state defensive line after the team’s big second state championship win in a row.

While Gage clearly shows his power on the football field, he is also an AP and honors student. He was awarded excellence in Honors French II and Honorable Mention in English 10. Inducted into the Global Studies Honors Program in 10th grade, Gage immerses himself in different cultures and challenges himself to leave his comfort zone. A participant on both the RMA Costa Rica trip in 2014 and the France trip in 2015, Gage loves to travel and see the world.
