While some students have attended RMA for most of their lives, senior Kaiden Pulley joined the RMA family in his freshman year, but it feels like this funny, athletic, and capable student has been here much longer.

Kaiden challenges himself academically by taking Honors and AP courses. He has taken on numerous AP-level courses, such as AP Environmental Science and AP Pre-Calculus, last year. This year, he is enrolled in AP Calculus, AP Biology, and English 12 Honors. He is also one of just six seniors enrolled in Spanish IV Honors, so it’s no surprise that he previously won an award for Excellence in Spanish.
Kaiden supplements his classwork with involvement in extracurriculars. He is an avid member of FCA (the Fellowship of Christian Athletes) who particularly enjoys learning more about God with his friends here at school. He is also a member of the Key Club, which is a service-based organization. As if that isn’t enough to keep him busy, Kaiden says he plans to take real estate classes outside of school.

Kaiden loves to challenge himself outside the classroom on the field, playing multiple sports, including football, baseball, and track. He plays baseball as the center fielder and leadoff batter, a position he has held since his freshman year. When it comes to football, he does it all, playing multiple positions on both sides of the ball, such as cornerback, linebacker, wide receiver, and kick returner. Kaiden’s competitive nature makes him a fearful athlete and has led to his receiving many awards for his accomplishments on the field, such as All-Conference Honorable Mention and All-State Honorable Mention for his astonishing achievements in baseball.
Looking to the future, Kaiden plans to apply to NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, ECU, the University of Florida, and the University of South Carolina. While at one of these great colleges, he plans to major in Biology, as his dream is to become a physical therapist–a position that is very important to him because last year he suffered a torn meniscus and ACL and required surgery followed by an extensive recovery. This hard work with his own physical therapists allowed him to fully recover and take to the field for his senior year, and he hopes to help other young athletes do the same in the future. Kaiden’s competitive nature will make him the best at his job, as he will never stop learning new skills so as to be outstanding at his job.
Kaiden, we will miss you here at RMA, but know you will accomplish great things wherever you are!
