We focus our first Senior Spotlight on the irreplaceable Parker Eatmon, who joined us six years ago for Middle School and is now a member of  the Class of 2024. He describes himself as athletic, funny, and laidback–all of which we can testify to being true! Close friend Luke Holloman says, “Whether you are on the court or the field, and even on the golf course [one of Parker’s favorite activities], he always finds a way to have fun and keep things interesting.” Parker Eatmon is an extraordinary friend and always willing to have a good time! 

Parker enjoys sports and being active, so in addition to Marine Biology, English, Trigonometry, and French 2, he is taking Sports Medicine and Weightlifting this year, which will help him stay in peak condition for the handful of sports he’s playing as a senior. He has been a great asset to the basketball team since freshman year, playing as a shooting guard and winning the Coach’s Award in 11th grade. A newer sport for Parker is golf, which he has been playing with friends in his spare time since January. This newfound love has led him to join the school team this year. He says that if he could be anywhere all the time, he’d choose the golf course! In addition, he has decided to join the varsity soccer team playing right wing for a fun senior year experience. 

As for future plans, Parker is planning on applying to ECU, Campbell, UNCW, and UNCC and majoring in Construction Management. He hopes to use this training to one day own his own business building custom houses like his father, whom he calls his role model. As he prepares to leave RMA, he offers this advice to all the underclassmen: “Enjoy it, and don’t worry about the little things that you can’t control.” He acknowledges that the most significant thing he has learned from going to RMA is “to get your work done on time and not procrastinate because it will make life a lot simpler.” I’m sure that mentality will bring him great success and take him far as he soon starts this new stage in his life!

Drake, because I like his lifestyle.

Water because I can be used for different things

Mr. Leonard because I like playing instruments.

I’m double-jointed in my thumbs.
