Valentines Gifts

As we all know, Valentine’s Day is coming up, and while a box of chocolates is always a good gift, here are some more creative ideas. Whether you’re going out with your significant other, planning a night in, or just hanging out with a few friends, these gifts are perfect for letting a special someone know you appreciate them.

If you’re looking for an easy homemade treat, chocolate-covered strawberries are for you. These sweet and tart desserts are perfect for boxing up and giving to your partner or creating a strawberry board and bringing it to your upcoming Galentine’s party. All you need is strawberries, white chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and sprinkles. After washing and thoroughly drying your strawberries, dip them with a fork into melted milk chocolate and let the excess drip off. Then using a piping bag (or a ziplock bag with the corner snipped off could also work), drizzle on melted white chocolate and finish off with sprinkles for beautiful and delicious treats.

Another creative and fun idea (especially for kids) is to make a paper flower bouquet! All you have to do is cut small triangles on the one outer edge of a green sticky note and then roll it up, folding the triangle cuts outwards. Then cut pink sticky notes in half and roll them looser as you near the end. Next, you attach the top of the flower to its green stem using some tape, and you can either tie them together at the bottom using a thin string or wrap them up in a small piece of newspaper. These are super fun to make and turn out so cute! Here is a picture of how they turn out! (Paper flower bouquet)

If you and your partner have been together for a long time, it may be fun to create a scrapbook recounting fun memories and special moments in your time together. To do this, all you have to do is print your favorite pictures or moments, tape them onto a page in your scrapbook, and decorate the page with cute stickers or personalized words. This is a fun and inexpensive way to show you care!

If you’re running last minute and have to pick up something quickly, a cute necklace from Target and some flowers would do the job for your girl friends or your girlfriend. A picture of you and your boyfriend/girlfriend or best friend also is a quick but meaningful gift.

Valentine’s Day is all about spreading love, whether platonic or romantic, so make sure to make everyone feel included and loved on Valentine’s Day and every day. Make sure that whether you are single or with someone, you always make sure the people around you know you care about them.
